Would I recommend Mount Cinnamon Beach Resort?
Absolutely, yes. Firstly, the location is prime. I booked an airport transfer through Mount Cinnamon, and was in my room within an hour of landing--can't beat that! It's steps away from St. George's most favored beach, and the grounds were lush and bursting with flowers and wildlife.
Coming from the hustle and bustle of Houston, TX, USA, I was looking for a slower pace, and this was just right.
More importantly, everyone at Mount Cinnamon seemed genuinely kind and warm, and helped to make my stay as comfortable as possible. They provided wonderful recommendations for less-crowded beaches, great restaurants, and even a late checkout so that I wouldn't need to drag my luggage around town before departing!

Where is the Property
Mount Cinnamon Beach & Wellness Resort is set above Grand Anse Beach in the Morne Rouge area of St. George's, on the largest of Grenada's three inhabited islands, Grenada.
If you're using local transportation, any driver would know how to get you there, and here's the physical address to program into your GPS or Google Maps.
The area is walkable to nearby properties, shops, and other beaches, but keep in mind that it's on a steep hill, so your legs and glutes will get a workout!
There are so many activities on this island--it can get overwhelming. Check out my list of things to do in Grenada!

Amenities
Pool: Mount Cinnamon's pool deck is just as pretty as the pictures! It's situated near reception, the gift shop, and their main restaurant, with an attached full-service bar.
Parking: Self-parking is available on-site directly across from reception.
Welcome Perks: During check-in, I was offered my choice of welcome cocktail or mocktail. I chose the mocktail, which I still think of fondly because it was so fruity and refreshing! And there was freshly-made banana bread waiting in my room. Another thing I enjoyed was the daily cookie delivery as part of the evening turn-down service.

Beach Access: Mount Cinnamon provides direct access to Grand Anse Beach through a stone-paved trail across the street and down the hill. If you aren't up to the walk, they also have a shuttle that will run you between the beach and your room.
Gym: I used the gym facility, which is down by the beach, and houses free weights, mats, kettlebells, Peloton stationary bikes, and a hodgepodge of other equipment. If you aren't used to working out in warm climates, it might not be for you! There are also weekly yoga classes offered to hotel guests.
Spa: You can book spa services like manicures, massages, or facials when you make your reservation or at any point thereafter. I treated myself to a deep tissue spa massage with Janelle, and it was excellent--one of the best I've had!

Activities: I'm not the type of person who likes to stay on the resort the entire time, but Mount Cinnamon does a great job of providing entertaining options for those who do. I took part in their famous Friday night beach bonfire BBQ, and had a lot of fun making s'mores and friends! Check their vacation packages for more options.
Dining: There are two restaurants on property: The Flying Fish, which is the main hub, and Savvy's Beach Cabana, which is on the beach. My booking included daily breakfast, and I never got bored with the menu options through the week. I also enjoyed dinner and room service, and the food was just as tasty--order the Grenadian spice bun! As an avid birdwatcher, I enjoyed the open-air atmosphere of the Flying Fish because a few little friends stopped by each morning. 😊
Wifi: The wifi was fast and reliable all the way down to the beach, and I had no issues accessing it from my laptop or cell phone.
Mealtimes were a highlight of my trips to the island. Here are the foods to try in Grenada!

Which Room to Book
I stayed in a second-floor Cinnamon Suite, and highly recommend it for the views alone! It was well-appointed with everything I could need, including an outlet adaptor, which I had forgotten to pack.
The balcony door is screened so you can enjoy the breeze and the sound of ocean waves without letting any bugs in--though, I did not encounter a single mosquito the whole time I was in Grenada!
Housekeeping occurs daily unless you request otherwise, and each room has a Nespresso coffeemaker with pods, bottled water, glassware, an ice bucket, and a mini-fridge. I'd recommend this room for a single traveler or a couple. For families and larger travel groups, you'll want to go with one of their villas.

For Solo Travelers
As a woman traveling to Grenada solo for the first time, I felt at ease throughout my stay. And seeing familiar faces at breakfast each morning, or during resort experiences like the bonfire, made it easier to socialize.
The only potential safety concern I would note is the need to provide your room number when ordering at restaurants on property; however, this is not unique to Mount Cinnamon and can be mitigated by requesting to write it down instead.
