What to Know
First of all, is Kondesa Cozumel worth it? In my opinion, definitely.
This is a modern Mexican restaurant with truly unique takes on popular dishes and amazing service. Don't just take my word for it, though, Kondesa has hundreds of stellar reviews on Google Maps!
Reservations are encouraged, especially during high travel months like June and July, which is when I visited. They're currently open seven days a week from 5 pm to 11 pm.
Here are more things to do in Cozumel to flesh out the rest of your trip!

Where is Kondesa located?
Kondesa restaurant feels out of the way, but is actually centrally located downtown, in between the cruise port and the airport. It's an easy walk or drive from popular hotel and Airbnb options.
I rented a car on the island and drove, but will note that parking is limited, so be prepared to walk a bit, in the event that there aren't open spaces out front. Or you can use a rideshare or taxi. Here's the physical address for GPS, either way:
5a Avenida Sur 456, Centro, 77668 Cozumel, Q.R. México

Dress Code
The stated dress code is smart casual, which could include a linen romper, dress, or two-piece set. Think elevated resort wear--no bathing suits and cover-ups!
High heels are not required, but I don't mind being the center of attention (Leo sun), so I gussied all the way up.
Keep the weather in mind as you'll be eating outdoors, so there's no A/C. I found the temperature to be pretty comfortable as it was after sunset, there were fans going, and the surroundings were lush and green.

Review of Dining at Kondesa
Although it's not on the beach, the vibe was totally tropical and Instagram-worthy. I felt ensconced in the middle of the jungle without having to catch my own food. 😊
The environment was intimate but not cramped, and the subtle sounds of wildlife mixed with the mood lighting make this a great date night spot, in my opinion. But even though I was dining solo dolo, I was treated like any other customer.
Pro Travel Tip
Whenever I travel solo, I have a two-drink maximum to make sure I can stay safe and alert and make it back to my accommodations in one piece. Kondesa tested my resolve because the drinks were that tasty!

The Kondesa drink menu is so much fun that it was hard to pick, and I relied on staff recommendations. They did not steer me wrong, and I savored every sip!
- Mezcalychee - fruity and smoky mezcal-based cocktail
- Golondrina - sweet and elegant champagne and Chambord-based cocktail

The main Kondesa menu is seafood-forward, with an emphasis on Mexican flavors and locally-sourced ingredients. There are vegan options, too. Here's my meal breakdown, and I'd recommend every bite:
- Lionfish cakes - starter with a nice, delicate texture and flavorful sauce
- Catch of the day - Snapper that tasted super fresh and was perfectly cooked
- Churros for dessert - Warm with a crisp exterior and buttery interior, plus a scoop of vanilla ice cream
Wondering how much it costs? The price for my entire meal, with two cocktails, an appetizer, entree, and dessert, came in under $50 before gratuity.
Coming from the US (Houston, Texas, specifically), the value is unbeatable. Even if you're staying at an all-inclusive resort, it's worth venturing off property!
